Gandalf the wizard!
One of the most popular film characters of all time, Gandalf the Grey!
Weta Workshop is responsible for creating the look of this beloved wizard from the LOTR and The Hobbit films and now Weta has done it again in the unique stylized sculpts from the Mini Epic series.
I am working with Weta as a Licensed artist on many projects and during the San Diego Comic Con of 2018, Weta Workshop owner Richard Taylor challenged me to create a painting with a realistic approach to an unrealistic geometric form, such as the Mini Epic Gandalf sculpt.
On top of that, the challenge was to infuse the look of actor Ian Mckellan as Gandalf into this art, as if the design was made of real flesh and blood.
The results gave this art a very unique look to my otherwise realistic art!
Available in both Paper and Canvas giclees, with the Gallery Wrap option for any canvas orders.
The Canvas editions are limited to 150 pieces worldwide with facing art measuring 18 x 24 inches and 24 x 32.5 inches.
The Paper editions are limited to 2000 pieces worldwide measuring 18 x 24 inches and 24 x 34 inches.
All editions come signed , and with a Certificate of Authenticity.
